focusing

Focusing is a self-awareness method that works with bodily sensations, resulting in a deepened state, where your full attention is directed to your body, to how you feel.

It is a form of communication with yourself, a special way of self-reflection that happens via the perception of bodily senses. It teaches you how to turn off your mind and turn on the bodily sensations.

When should you turn to focusing?

If there is some important topic that concerns you, or if you cannot articulate clearly enough what you feel; if you often feel that your thoughts take you away from reality; or if you're constantly experiencing great emotions, but you're somehow stuck: you might want to get to know the very simple
and yet powerful method of focusing.

What happens during focusing?

What does the method provide?

  • you can get information about your bodily sensations via a guided attention;

  • you might look at how you are at this moment;

  • you can deal with topics that concern you while preserving the connection with your body

  • sensitizes;

  • directs attention to the body, the felt senses, and the smallest body signals;

  • teaches you to step into and maintain contact with your body and bodily senses;

  • provides an opportunity for self-knowledge through bodily sensations;

  • strengthens the recognition of feelings and provides tools for their expression and management
